About 25 per cent of the apartment buyers at Royale Gold Coast are Victorians.
Now more than ever, Victorians are looking for a sunny escape. After being in and out of lockdown for the better part of two years, we are being lured to Queensland’s sun and sand.
About 25 per cent of the apartment buyers at Royale Gold Coast – a luxury 38-storey development right on Surfers Paradise beach – are Victorians.
The stunning pool areas.
We are among a strong interstate contingent looking to migrate north, says Adrian Parsons, the managing director of Total Property Group.
“We always knew the Gold Coast was very popular with people from Victoria and NSW, but more as a holiday home destination,” he says. “But we’ve noticed now, as a result of COVID, people are saying they’re actually going to move there because they want to get out of Victoria.”
There are compelling reasons why they’re attracted to Royale Gold Coast, including the fact the upmarket building has been designed to create a sanctuary-like environment.
There are two swimming pools – one near the ocean and another that catches the afternoon sun.
The views from the apartments themselves are impressive.
When the pool isn’t beckoning, there’s Club Royale on level two. With a private bar, whiskey and wine storage areas, and a dining room with adjoining commercial kitchen, it’s the perfect place to socialise after a swim.
Residents will use a concierge app to book the shared facilities, which include offices to host meetings or simply work in peace and quiet.
The building will also house Cafe Royale, a cute little coffee spot on the corner of Northcliffe Terrace and Markwell Avenue.
All of this will impress even before taking a closer look at the apartments, which are beautifully finished by Mim Design.
The impactful structure.
Parsons says buyers will have a hard time deciding what they admire the most.
“Number one is its beachfront location. You cannot get any better – it’s the pinnacle of buying real estate in terms of lifestyle experience and that’s where the capital gains are made,” he said.
“Secondly, it’s the level and detail of the resident amenity. Not only do you have the two swimming pools, but you have beautiful cabanas and daybeds that surround those pools.
“You have a dedicated storage area for surfboards and a wash off area and a waxing section. Then we have a wellness centre that has steam rooms, sauna and spa that’s completely separate from the gymnasium, which looks out to the beach and is stunning.”
Royale Gold Coast is slated for completion in late 2024.
