If variety is the spice of life, developers in south-east Queensland have added more than a pinch this month.
From masterplanned masterpieces to boutique seaside abodes to luxe inner-city living, it seems everything under the sun is on offer to the discerning buyer.
To the unsuspecting passer-by, Summerlin Banyo could easily appear to be a five-star holiday resort.
The development is far from a simple apartment building. It offers exclusive access to a $100-million masterplanned community more than 10 years in the making, designed for leisure, lifestyle and community.
The finished project will contain 248 residences, with a mix of apartments and townhouses spread across the 3.16-hectare site.
Stage One of the development, comprising 26 townhomes, is already completed and Stage Two, comprising 27 two and three-bedroom apartments, is currently under construction.
Summerlin Banyo has also just launched the Lilly Residences, another low-rise block featuring 34 spacious apartments.
The development’s centre will also house a 4000-square-metre residents’ recreation zone, featuring communal living spaces, gym facilities, a lap pool, pavilion and barbecue area.
Located 16 kilometres north of Brisbane’s CBD, Summerlin is nestled between a number of convenient amenities, from the brand new Banyo Shopping Centre to the Skygate/DFO precinct just minutes away.
The neighbourhood is also serviced by the nearby Banyo and Nudgee train stations, while the Brisbane Airport and major arterial roads provide easy access to Brisbane and beyond.
Director of Dennis Family Corporation Grant Dennis said the project’s focus on lifestyle and community engagement was a strong drawcard for buyers.
“In my opinion, our Summerlin development at Banyo is a perfect example of a medium-density project that has been thoughtfully designed to suit the needs of today’s buyers,” he said.
“Purchasers see the plans and they can imagine living in a beautifully designed, low-maintenance new home, yet still enjoy all the benefits of large, fully equipped outdoor areas for entertaining.
“Everything is on their doorstep, without the worry of maintenance or upkeep. Gardens without gardening, a pool without the cleaning and a barbecue area that’s perfect for entertaining — all there to be used any time.”
Mr Dennis said he had been surprised by the broad range of demographics attracted to the development.
“We have young families buying their first home, local downsizers, out-of-towners and people relocating from other parts of Brisbane,” he said.
“They are coming into the area to retire, access the great schools, work locally or take advantage of fabulous transport links to the CBD, northern city fringe and airport and ports.
“Of course, we find this very exciting, as it tells us the product has broad appeal and we can expect the development of a diverse community.”
Summerlin Banyo is located at 28 Ivedon Street, Banyo, Queensland.
