A 38-storey Surfers Paradise beachfront tower has topped out as work paving the way for 53-level skyscraper in the next suburb south begins.
Royale Gold Coast has reached structural completion, including the installation of its crown, at Northcliffe Terrace ahead of a scheduled March, 2026 completion.
The project, developed by DD Living and built by Hutchinson Builders, reached its highest point with the final concrete pour at level 38.
The crown is a 10m-tall architectural structure that tops the tower. It comprises 40 engineered rafter elements and more than 200 infill panels.
It was designed by DKO Architects founding partner Koos de Keizer as a defining feature of the building’s profile.
DD Living managing director David Devine said the milestones reflected progress rather than completion.
“Topping out the tower and seeing the crown installed are major milestones, but they also signal the shift into the most complex delivery phase,” Devine, who also founded the company, said.
Royale Gold Coast comprises 104 apartments on an absolute beachfront corner site. It is being marketed primarily to owner-occupiers.
Sales and marketing agent Total Property Group said construction visibility had increased buyer confidence as delivery moved closer.
