As the property market is hit with restrictions and uncertainty from the health crisis, local agents report interest in prestigious riverfront property in the southeast remains strong.
TOTAL Property Group Managing Director Adrian Parsons, who is managing the sale of the last five apartments at The Boatyard Bulimba, said his team was still receiving a high volume of inquiries for prestige properties, particularly high-end riverfront apartments, as there was limited availability on the Brisbane River.
“The Boatyard Bulimba is likely to be one of the last riverfront apartment developments in the area as it is surrounded by private riverfront homes, so these large premier apartments are prime real estate for people who want space, style and water views without the responsibility of maintaining a house and yard,” Mr Parsons said.
“Yes, we are currently experiencing a major interruption to our lifestyles, but in terms of property buyers, people are still looking and buying.
Construction on the four-storey, 26 apartment development has been completed.
Located at the end of Byron Street, Bulimba near the Apollo Road CityCat stop, The Boatyard has direct Brisbane River frontage.
It was previously the site of prominent boatbuilding firm Norman R Wright and Sons.
Four separate buildings with only two apartments on each floor have been designed to take in the northern aspect and views out over the Brisbane River to Hamilton.
HG Developments Director Simon Gundelach said the design was inspired by the site’s incredible waterfront location and proud maritime history.
“Our vision for The Boatyard was to create a unique space that captures the essence of life on the water with a focus on seamless luxury and abundance of space, while paying homage to the property’s maritime history,” he said.
“Every detail has been carefully considered by our design team to encapsulate this unique prime location and the building has been meticulously crafted using only the finest fittings and finishes to create the ultimate in prestige riverfront living.”
Four of the remaining available apartments at The Boatyard Bulimba are large four-bedroom family-sized apartments with open-plan living and dining areas, a separate multipurpose room, a butler’s pantry and generous entertainer balconies with direct river frontage, secure car parking and private lockup storage, priced from $1.95 million.
“Four-bedroom apartments with spacious open floor plan living areas and an additional multipurpose room directly on the riverfront is a unique opportunity,” Mr Parsons said.
“In addition to the four remaining riverfront apartments with four bedrooms and an additional media room, there is only one spacious two-bedroom apartment with a 108 sqm floorplan, priced at $805,000, that remains on the market.”
