The $1.5bn Jewel development no longer has a ghost tower, with its owner taking the covers off the last of three beachfront buildings on the Gold Coast.
The 108 apartments of the southernmost tower, titled Jewel’s Diamond Collection, have not had a single overnight visitor in the more than three years since construction finished.
This week, 15 of the striking units have been put to market, priced from $1.6m for a one-bedder and upwards of $7m for a three-bedroom apartment with a study.
The penthouse, on level 34, remains an empty shell and is not on the market – yet.
Release of 15 apartments in tower three is the latest in a drip-feed approach to selling the stock by owner AW Jewel, which has sold 100 apartments, worth more than $200m, in the past 12 months.
A mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments are for sale and buyers will have access to the five-star hotel facilities of The Langham, Gold Coast.
Jewel has 521 units across its three towers, with all residents so far living in the north tower.
The five-star hotel and the Langham-managed Jewel Residences apartments occupy the central tower.
Buyers in the newly-released southern tower will enjoy the services of a full-time concierge to organise duties like dog walking, car washing, catering, luggage handling, absentee owner services, laundry and dry cleaning, floral arrangements and apartment cleaning.
Five apartments have been styled to give buyers the chance to see inside before signing up.
AW Jewel general manager Yutao Li said the release of the Diamond Tower Collection had been timed carefully.
“Following the recent release of tower three titles, our team is very happy to be launching the long-awaited Diamond Tower Collection,” he said.
“Demand for luxury property in Southeast Queensland, and particularly on the Gold Coast, is not slowing down with strong internal migration driving demand that we expect will continue for many years,” he said.
“Whether it is for living in or holidaying, there has been unprecedented demand for larger sized private apartment residences with extensive luxury resort style amenities.
“Prestige property buyers can take immediate ownership of a fully completed private residence at Jewel and move in right now, which is a rare opportunity in today’s market.”
