Roma Street entrance relocated

Roma Street station’s main entrance has moved 95 metres east towards the city and is now covered, between Makerston Street and Herschel Street pedestrian crossings.

All access to train and busway platforms and the Coach Terminal will be through the new entrance.

The changes mean a safer journey for commuters while the Brisbane Transit Centre is in the final stages of demolition and construction continues on Cross River Rail’s new Roma Street station.

When completed, Roma Street station will become Brisbane’s ‘Grand Central’ – Queensland’s most significant transport interchange, which will connect passengers with suburban bus and rail networks, as well as regional and interstate bus and train services.

You can read more about the changes at Roma Street in the monthy Construction Updates.
