EPV Developments’ The Wellington development in East Brisbane has achieved more than $48 million in sales with 108 apartments sold and only 19 apartments remaining as construction approaches completion in October this year.
A total of 85% of apartments have sold at the nine storey boutique development, with 59 one bedroom and 49 two bedroom residential apartments being purchased by local and national buyers.
Apartment sales have come from a variety of purchasers from young professionals to mature buyers, all looking for central living location with a cafe culture lifestyle, combined with a secure and spacious living environment.
TOTAL Property Group managing director and Marketing Manager for The Wellington, Adrian Parsons, said strong sales spread across both one and two bedroom apartments can be attributed to a broad range of buyers as well as a growing trend in single person households.
“With single person households projected to grow on average 2.2% per year making them the fastest growing type of household in Australia, it is little wonder that our luxury one bedroom apartments which are 13% more spacious than the average inner-city unit, have experienced such strong buyer appeal.
“On a world-wide scale inner city living is a way of life, particularly for single people who want to be close to the amenities and infrastructure that urban living affords.
“The Wellington’s high quality apartments with outstanding on-site facilities and central inner-city location perfectly fit the bill for single purchasers looking for a home that provides them a spacious and secure environment as well as an active and social lifestyle.
“We are seeing more and more sales enquiries from young professionals who are drawn to East Brisbane’s close proximity to the CBD as well as the thriving cafe and restaurant scene that continues to grow and expand from the renowned Logan Road precinct.
“We have also experienced an influx of mature buyers looking to swap the upkeep and menial tasks of maintaining a house for some well-deserved leisure time, these buyers love the idea of having access to our stylish rooftop pool area, open barbecue and garden area and boutique retail precinct.” he said.
EPV Developments Director Karl Jameson, said that it is exciting to see their original concept for the development start to take shape as construction approaches completion.
“Throughout the planning and design of The Wellington we aimed to focus on creating a pleasurable inner-city lifestyle for our residents, and it is great to see our concept resonate with buyers.
“Another key part of our overall concept was to create a relaxing and social living environment for residents, as such we have incorporated resort-style recreational facilities in the design of the building, including a rooftop pool area, relaxed barbecue and entertaining area, and boutique retail precinct on the ground floor.
“As we draw closer to our completion date of late September/early October this year, we are excited to see our vision for The Wellington take shape and cannot wait to see residents move in and start living their dream inner-city lifestyle.” He said.
The Wellington’s remaining one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments are available in a variety of floor plans designed to offer contemporary living and are priced between $339,000 and $560,000.
The Wellington is perfectly positioned on the corner of Wellington Road and Overend Street in the high- demand suburb of East Brisbane, just a short walk from The Gabba stadium and the dining and shopping destinations of Logan Road and Stanley Street.
