The rejuvenation of the northern port precinct of Brisbane’s river has been given a boost with the early completion of Brookfield Properties’ latest luxury project.
Builder Multiplex managed to add finishing touches to the high-end dual-tower apartment project called Gallery house earlier this week, ahead of its original schedule.
Located on an absolute riverfront position in the prestige suburb of Hamilton, the $144m project holds prime position next to the developer’s retail and residential community, Portside Wharf. Construction in the 315 units began in 2017, with the first tower completed in October 2019.
Sales worth almost $100m have been completed to date, with settlements starting before Christmas. Gallery House joins a slew of projects the developer builder team has delivered in the precinct.
“Over the pas decade, we have delivered a number of stages at Brookfield’s Portside Wharf development and it’s exciting to see this riverfront precinct continue to transform with the addition of Gallery house,” Multiplex Queensland managing director Graham Cottam said.
The Northshore Hamilton precinct was designated by the Queensland government as a priority development area almost a decade ago. Over the past 12 years, the addition of residential and mixed-use commercial and retail opportunities has appealed to locals, while attractions like the Eat Street Markets draw in large crowds.
The development comprises one, two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses, ranging in size from 58sq m to 669sq m, with prices rnaging from $419,000 to $2.8m.
Amenities include a shared rooftop infinity pool and outdoor barbeque area, a communal garden and ground-floor retail.
