The northern gateway to the city from the airport continues to draw strong development interest with news of a new $60m boutique apartment complex for Newstead North.
Designed by Ellivo Architects (think the award-wining Fish Lane in South Brisbane, Thorncliffe in Kangaroo Point, and Enclave in Wynnum), the eight-level Alouette Residences Newstead will offer 57 premium apartments of between one to four-bedrooms. The emphasis is on the size, with at least two car spaces for every home, and with some one-bedroom apartments featuring a multi-purpose room, making them 39 percent larger than those of competing developments.
Prices will start from $580,000 for a 96 sqm apartment, with four-bedroom apartments priced from $1.415m.
The 2024 sqm site will be developed by HG Developments, which has worked with Ellivo Architects for nearly a decade, and is targeting owner-occupiers, which has worked with Ellivo Architects for nearly a decade, and is targeting owner-occupiers, which confirms recent CoreLogic property data that shows Queensland is the only state where owner occupier participation rose above investor participation in the three months to July, lifting by 1.8 per cent.
