Construction has started on Duet Porta, the first tower within Red & Co’s $800m multistage Duet Portside development in Hamilton.
The milestone was marked with a sod turning ceremony at the 7500sq m site at 11-23 MacArthur Ave, Northshore Hamilton with builder 5Point appointed to deliver the first stage $350m 25-level tower.
Duet Porta is part of the two-tower Duet Portside development and features 200 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments priced from $1.045m and supported by wellness amenities.
Red & Co director and co-founder Keiran Foster said the commencement of construction at Duet Porta was a significant milestone for the project, which reflected confidence in the Brisbane market, particularly for premium apartments in prime inner-city locations.
“The appointment of builder 5Point to deliver Duet Porta provides an important layer of certainty in the current construction environment, with completion scheduled for Q2 2028,” he said.
“Securing an experienced builder is critical in the current market, and 5Point brings a strong track record in delivering residential projects of this scale.”
Rooftop level amenities feature a 25m swimming pool, leisure barbecue and dining spaces overlooking the Brisbane River and the city skyline, complemented by a gymnasium with sauna and residents’ lounge on level six.
