A new report has found Gallery House at Hamilton was the most popular new apartment development in Brisbane during the June quarter, notching up 31 sales.
The project, encompassing two towers, is being developed by Brookfield Residential Properties, and recorded more than double the sales of any other new development in the city in the last quarter, according to the Urbis Essentials report.
Brookfield managing director Lee Butterworth said buyers continued to recognise the scarcity of absolute riverfront living in Brisbane.
“The opportunities to secure such generously-sized luxury riverfront apartments in the current market are extremely limited and, as a result, we are seeing increasing enquiry from buyers wanting to secure their own private oasis close to the city centre,” he said.
“Sales to date have predominantly been to owner-occupiers, including empty nesters looking to make the move from a home to an apartment and professionals wanting to be close to the city.”
More than $173m in luxury apartments have now sold at Gallery House, as work on both towers continues. They are being built by Multiplex. Mr Butterworth said the development had many advantages, including a rooftop pool, direct access to Portside Wharf, a location just 6km from the CBD and easy access to the airports.
It will have 319 one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments – some with additional multipurpose rooms – across the 20-level Gallery House One and 19-level Gallery House Two towers.
Two-bedroom apartments start from $565,000, three bedrooms from $865,000 and four bedrooms from $1,195,000.
A pool and outdoor barbecue will be on top of Gallery House One. Gallery House Two will feature a common garden.
