AN OUTSTANDING oceanfront terrace apartment at Kyko Group’s $150 million Mon Komo development at Redcliffe has been snapped up for $695,000 by a couple from Brisbane looking for the ultimate seachange.
Michael and Bonnie Cunial were in search of a relaxed, coastal lifestyle ahead of their retirement and found the perfect apartment at Mon Komo, which is attracting strong interest from buyers for its spacious ocean view apartments, waterfront positioning on the esplanade and timeless quality design. Currently residing in a four-bedroom house in the Brisbane suburb of Upper Kedron, the Cunials are using their oceanfront apartment at Mon Komo as a weekend escape from the city, with plans to relocate in the near future.
“We used to visit Redcliffe regularly to enjoy the cafes on the revitalised esplanade and be near the water, there is something calming about the ocean and as soon as we drive over the bridge from Brisbane towards Redcliffe we instantly relax,” Mrs Cunial said.
“Every time we visited Redcliffe we felt so good so we decided to purchase a home here and after looking at several properties we decided to inspect the apartments at Mon Komo,” she said.
“As soon as we walked into the terrace apartment we fell in love with the ocean views, the spacious open plan layout, the quality fixtures and fittings and ample storage built in throughout.
“Mon Komo was a level above other apartments we looked at with its oceanfront location, timeless style, generous size and many extra features while being very competitive in price.
“We were also very impressed by Mon Komo’s convenient location, within walking distance of everything you need including a great variety of restaurants and cafes as well as entertainment, shopping and health facilities, the idea of not having to drive anywhere is very appealing.
“Even though we weren’t quite ready to move in permanently, we decided to purchase and use our apartment as a weekender until we are in a position to relocate.
“Now every weekend feels like a holiday at a luxury resort and we take full advantage of the recreational facilities including the indoor and outdoor pools, the gym and the Mon Komo Hotel giving us access to dining and entertainment options.”
The director of development company Kyko Group, Bill Jenkings, said the vision for Mon Komo was to create luxury lifestyle apartments with the highest quality of design and building principles to attract investors and seachangers looking for prestige oceanfront properties.
“The location and design of Mon Komo delivers great potential for strong capital gains over time because of the sweeping ocean views that cannot be built out,” Mr Jenkings said.
“The feedback we consistently receive about Mon Komo’s design is how much extra quality living space is provided for by the spacious balconies off the apartments, some of which are big enough to fit both an outdoor lounge and dining suite,” he said.
Mon Komo Marketing Manager and TOTAL Property Group Managing Director Adrian Parsons said the prestige apartment market is growing, with strong demand for unique oceanfront lifestyle properties close to Brisbane resulting in increased sales inquiries at Mon Komo in Redcliffe.
“The developer, Kyko Group, has recognised this shift in the prestige market and increased levels of buyer confidence, releasing the final penthouse for sale along with the final 12 apartments in the Mon Komo residential tower,” Mr Parsons said.
“The remaining 16 apartments include a selection of layouts from one bedroom (82m2) to three bedroom plus study (247m2) configurations priced from $355,000 to $1,305,000,” he said.
“These apartments feature floor to ceiling glass maximising natural light and waterfront views, oversized balconies, spacious open plan layouts connecting indoor and outdoor areas, timeless stone and timber finishes, entertainer kitchens equipped with European appliances, and generous storage space throughout.”
